“Ride for Wind 2010”. 

Due to overwhelming success of Ride for Wind 2009 (RFW09), Ride for Wind 2010-Texas (RFW2010-TX) will held Saturday, June 12, 2010 in Sweetwater, TX. Texas wind farms are located near some of the best roads and scenery in the Southwest. The ride will benefit the Women of Wind Energy, a group that provides scholarships, support and career direction to women entering the wind energy industry.  RFW09 raised nearly $2000. Our goal is to raise at least $6000.00 through corporate sponsorship and individual contributions.

RFW10-TX will consist of a day ride to Texas wind farms and a long distance rally to wind farms in Texas.  Day riders will cover approximately 250-300 miles on scenic roads around Sweetwater, TX.

Headquarters for the event will be at the Holiday Inn Express in Sweetwater, TX.
